Image August 31, 2008–LPGA Tour star and Las Vegas native–she recently moved to Texas with husband Mike–Stephanie Louden was back in town recently and teed it up with her Dad, Larry, at Jack Nicklaus' Bear's Best Las Vegas. Louden is a very active member of the LPGA Tour Executive Committee where she currently serves as Vice President. And big-time comedian and television star Bill Engvall, star of The Bill Engvall Show on TBS in addition to his legendary role as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, played Vegas in more ways than one this past weekend. Engvall headlined the Treasure Island Theatre on Friday night, but spent the day teeing it up at Las Vegas golf course Spanish Trail Golf and Country Club, the private 27-hole facility that lists future Hall-of-Famer Greg Maddux as a member. Engvall made a special trip to Vegas late night on Thursday just so he had time to tee it up.

Las Vegas golf courses are continually the playing grounds for some of the world's biggest celebrities including past presidents such as Bill Clinton and Gearge H.W. Bush, actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Joe Pesci, Mike Douglass, Kevin Sorbo, athletes like Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, and basketball coaches such as Lon Kruger and Jim Boeheim in addtion to many, many more.

Kruger is the head coach of UNLV basketball, while Boeheim is the head coach at Syracuse, but he just ended a three-year term as an assistant with the gold-medal winning Team USA.

The Las Vegas area is home to more than 60 golf courses that are designed by some of the biggest names in golf including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Rees Jones, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Sr., Pete Dye, Tom Fazio and many others.
