September 10, 2008–OB Sports is a golf course management company that operates three Las Vegas golf facilities that total four 18-hole Las Vegas golf courses, a lighted par 3 course, and one of the few all-grass putting courses in the world. And for the second year, the national company is holding the OB Sports Team National Championship to determine the best team from several of the company's golf courses, including the three Las Vegas golf courses, Angel Park Golf Club, The Legacy Golf Club, and Aliante Golf Club (pictured). Eight-player teams from the courses will compete against 10 other teams from around the country at Indian Wells Golf Resort in the Palm Springs area September 12-14, 2008. The teams are made up of seven qualifiers and each club's professional. The team from Angel Park Golf Club, a Las Vegas golf facility that is dubbed as the World's Most Complete Golf Experience, is made up of Director of Golf David Stead, and qualifiers Jerry Johnson, Kevin Duff, Dallas Dunlop, Bob Malinak, Bill Marshall, Gene Burton and Bob Barnett.
The team from Aliante Golf Club, home of 27 holes of Gary Panks golf intrigue, is made up of Head Pro Marc Orlowski, and qualifiers Jim Manley, Steve Shebolski, Jim Callahan, Robert Ulate, Ernie Ulate, Susan Orlowski, and Deanice Manley.
The team from Legacy Golf Club, 18 holes of challenging Arthur Hills golf, is made up of Head Pro Tom Vold and qualifiers Lenny Fichter, Brent Holden, Wes Gritton, James Sparkman, Dave Seyler, Steve Clark, and Bill Roshak.
Prizes will be awarded for special contests throughout the event as well as to the top three daily two-person teams for each flight. In addition the overall OB Sports Team Champions (that is, the lowest two-day, eight-person team score made up of the three best individual team scores each day) will be crowned as the OB SPORTS NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONS FOR 2008.
