Image November 5, 2008–Lake Las Vegas Resident Natalie Gulbis spends a majority of her time traveling the world playing golf and making appearances. So it's always a welcome change for her when playing and appearing coincide with events at Las Vegas golf courses. Gulbis plays in the open-to-the-public Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge at Las Vegas golf course Rio Secco Golf Club on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and then gives everyday golfers a chance to compete against her Dec. 13 at Las Vegas golf course Aliante Golf Club. Read on to see how you can meet and play against Gulbis.

The event at Aliante is open to all golfers who sign up for tee times at the award-winning Aliante Golf Club on Dec. 13. Click now to book your tee time because all golfers playing that day meet and compete against Gulbis. Any golfer making a hole-in-one that day on the par 3 will also walk away with a brand new Volkswagen Passat. This special event benefits the Fisher House FisherHouse.org, a not-for-profit organization that supports the United States Military. Gulbis will be available at Aliante from 9 AM to 10 AM for an informal meet-and-greet/autograph signing. After that, she'll set up on one of the par 3 holes and compete against the day's golfers.

… UNLV sophomore golfer Therese Koelbaek has been selected Mountain West Conference Golfer of the Month for October. Koelbaek opened the month by finishing tied for 14th at the Stanford Intercollegiate. She shot a 2-over 215 (68-76-71) on the 6,092-yard Stanford Golf Course to lead the Rebels in the Oct. 17-19 tournament played in Stanford, Calif. She went on to close it by turning in one of the best performances in collegiate golf history, shattering several UNLV records on her way to a 16-under 200 (68-66-66) performance for a second-place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.

… The VIP Golf School that is headed by Colorado Golf Hall-of-Famer Bob Byman recently received some national notoriety by BusinessWeek. The article discussed how a company helped mend an injured business relationship by taking clients and staff to a VIP Golf School in Las Vegas. The school is located at Las Vegas golf courses TPC Las Vegas and Legacy Golf Club. Byman is a 12-time professional tournament winner and now focuses his attention to providing world-class golf instruction to his students.
