… Maybe the coolest guy in Las Vegas during the holidays is Las Vegas golfer Chet Buchanan, who hosts the popular morning show, Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo, on KLUC 98.5 FM. Buchanan, who is often seen playing Las Vegas golf courses, has been off the course for 12 days but for a very good reason. Buchanan has spent those days living on a platform above Las Vegas during his annual Toy Drive, urging his listeners to donate toys, gift cards and bikes. The items are then given to kids who might go without this Christmas. The vigil ended today and at last report, he had raised more than $75,000 in gift cards, secured more than 1,000 bikes, and loaded a minimum of 8 semi-trucks full of toys. During his stay, Buchanan reported down from his perch that he recently fired a round in the mid 80's at Boulder Creek Golf Club, and he also played in a special event at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort surrounding the World Series of Golf.
