August 26, 2009–The second coming of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Las Vegas PGA Tour event kicks off the week of October 11, and some of the world's biggest stars and celebrities are confirming to be part of the on and off-the-course events. Smokey Robinson has announced his plan to play in the Wednesday Las Vegas golf pro-am, and television commercials with Timberlake and two-time Super Bowl champ John Elway are running and promoting the Las Vegas golf tournament.
And now several of the acts that will be a part of the Timberlake and Friends concert are known and are headed by Alicia Keyes, Taylor Swift, and a reunion of TLC, among others. The Grammy® and Emmy® Award-winning international superstar Timberlake is set to bring his Justin Timberlake and Friends, a Special Evening Benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children event to the stage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8 p.m. The concert is scheduled to feature performances by singer/songwriter and producer Timberlake, 12-time Grammy Award-winner R&B and Pop sensation Alicia Keys, Country and Pop superstar Taylor Swift, R&B star Ciara, and 5-time Grammy Award-winning R&B-Pop group, TLC. Additional performers may be added in the near future. The official PGA Tour competition will be October 15-18.
