The sister course to Cascata is Rio Secco Golf Club, home of the Butch Harmon School of Golf. Maddux and Harmon annually co-host the Harmon-Maddux Celebrity Invitational, an event that raises dollars and awareness for the foundation. Celebrities and athletes who have participated in that event include Mike Maddux, Roger Clemens, Marshall Faulk, Steve Avery, and many others. Maddux attended Las Vegas' Valley High School before being drafted by the Chicago Cubs, and has never forgotten his hometown. During college basketball season, Maddux can be seen at many home games for the UNLV Rebels.
