Boulder Creek features 27 desert holes designed by Mark Rathert, while Boulder City Golf Course is a traditional, tree-lined course designed by Billy Casper and David Rainville. The Hacienda Hotel and Casino features live gaming, rooms, a theater featuring first-run movies and classics, and is located between Las Vegas and Boulder City, on Highway 93. The hotel is perfectly located to take advantage of everything the area has to offer including the golf, boating, hiking, and other outdoor activities. One of the new sites to visit is the expansion bridge that overlooks the Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam Bypass, officially named Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, spans the Black Canyon and is 900 feet above the Colorado River and more than 1900 feet long.
Boulder Creek features the Desert Hawk, Coyote Run and Eldorado Valley nines, and the holes are intertwined with the natural desert surroundings. Several holes standout but the par 4, 9th hole of the Desert Hawk is one of the more talked about holes. The hole can play about as short or long as you want it (300-480 yards depending on tee boxes selected) and plays over and around water and bunkers. The nice clubhouse is perched above the hole in the background. Click now for the official course overview.
Boulder City Golf Course is just pure, small town, fun golf in a laid back atmosphere. Walking is allowed, hundreds of trees shade the course, and the greens and fairways are large and wide open. Several holes are notable, including a reachable par 4 (the 8th), and par 3, 17th hole that plays over water. Click now for the official course overview. Also, remember that regular tee times are available for these courses whether you book the stay-and-play or not.
