Las Vegas, Nevada (February 24, 2011)–With the season over, NFL players are spending time in Las Vegas and at least two played golf recently on a Las Vegas golf course. Matt Schaub, quarterback of the Houston Texans, and Brian Finneran, wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons played Rhodes Ranch. Schaub was the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl MVP. –Staff report.

Schaub and Finneran are both avid golfers, and Schaub is a participant in the annual Lake Tahoe American Century Celebrity Invitational. In 2010, Schaub finished in 76th place. In 2009, Schaub made news at the event when an errant shot of his hit a lady spectator in the head. Finneran lists golf and fishing as his major hobbies.

“My personal hobby is golf," Finneran has said on the official website of the Falcons. "I am not great at it, but I really love to play. I love to take my kids out to the driving range where they can go out and hit balls. I also like to fish, so golfing, fishing, and hanging with the kids are my hobbies … the material things in life that I splurge on would be my house and probably my golf clubs. I’d rather spend money on things for my kids and wife — stuff like family vacations.”
