Highland Falls is the third in the trio of courses at Golf Summerlin, and the winner of the category that was voted on by the readers of the newspaper. "It had to happen eventually — Angel Park’s 13-year Best of Las Vegas winning streak comes to an end," wrote the Las Vegas Review-Journal editors. "Instead, readers fell for Highland Falls, one of three Summerlin courses designed by Hall-of-Fame player Billy Casper and planner Greg Nash. At an elevation of more than 3,000 feet, Highland Falls — designed for golfers of all skill levels — definitely lives up to its name. And if you’re disgusted with your game, the panoramic Strip vistas provide welcome visual distraction. Falling to second place: perennial favorite Angel Park."

"To me, this is a validation of what we have accomplished here over the last seven years," says General Manager Joe Kelly, a member of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame. "We had a lot of challenges when it came to conditioning but we worked hard, spent where we needed and are now in superb shape, and not only for our standards, but up against the other golf courses in Las Vegas. And it makes it even better to win the reader's choice award of the poll because those are the people we are working hard to please. It proves our players love our conditions, our special offers, and that we truly have a loyal customer following. We thank the public for this high honor."

One of the reasons that Highland Falls claimed the award is it offers a value rate for both visiting and local Las Vegas golfers. The rate for visitors never goes higher than $100, peaking at $95 and much of the time the rate is at $75 or lower. Click now for official Las Vegas tee times for Highland Falls Golf Club. From the official website: "Highland Falls lives up to its name with lofty elevation at more than 3,000 feet. Panoramic views of the Las Vegas strip are abundant throughout; the rolling hills of the front nine become steeper on the back side. Besides elevation changes, rich fairways and strategically placed bunkering makes each of Highland Falls’ eighteen holes fun, fair and challenging. Risk and reward golf shot opportunities are plentiful on the back nine. (par-72, 6,512 yards, rating/slope 70.1/119)."
