Las Vegas, Nevada (January 15, 2012)–It is common place for Las Vegas hotels and Las Vegas golf courses to up their rates for busy weekends in Las Vegas. Basically the theory of supply and demand is in effect. However, the management of three Las Vegas golf courses–that make up the Golf Summerlin trifecta–are lowering their rates and offering Super Rates for Super Bowl weekend (Feb. 4-5). Rates for the 18-hole Highland Falls and Palm Valley are $45 while it is $35 at the executive Eagle Crest, and other surprises are in store. The regular resort rate is $95 so this is a savings of $50 per player. –By Brian Hurlburt
“We wanted to reward our customers and show them a little loyalty as a thank you for their patronage,” says PGA of America member Joe Kelly, the Golf Summerlin director of golf operations and a member of the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame. “This is a big weekend in Las Vegas and a lot of courses seize the opportunity to bump up rates. Reducing rates is not the norm.” Kelly says that all Las Vegas golfers–visiting and local–are welcome to come and enjoy the special rates.
