The Scrumble is an official event of USA Rubgy 7s and is organized by the United States Rugby Football Foundation. Cost per player is only $200 but other sponsorship levels are available. Currently there is a long list of memorabilia inlcuding a Barbarians jersey signed by the team that faced Australia at Twickenham in November 2011. Signatures include Sir Graham Henry, Victor Matfield and Bryan Habana. And an England jersey signed by former England Captain Will Carling. Plus a USRFF leather ball signed by 11 former All Blacks, including Michael Jones, Zinzan Brooke, Joe Stanley, Robin Brooke, Olo Brown and Buck Shelford. About Las Vegas National Golf Club: Since its completion in 1961, "The National" has had a long and storied history in Las Vegas golf lore and with Hollywood. During the 1960s, The National played host to the biggest names on the Strip, including Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop and Sammy Davis, Jr. More recently, The National was featured in the movie “Casino”, starring Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci. The house used in the movie sits off to the left of the #1 Tee Box between the #1 and #18 fairways. The National was also the site for several PGA events and past winners include Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Lanny Wadkins and Al Geiberger. Tiger Woods, Davis Love III and Jim Furyk all played rounds at The National on their way to victories at the Las Vegas Invitational tournament.

About USA Rugby 7s Las Vegas: The USA Sevens international rugby tournament in Las Vegas is the fifth of nine stops on the 2011-12 HSBC Sevens World Series. The three-day tournament is the only North American stop for the Sevens World Series. The premier rugby tournament in North America, fans will see 16 national teams play 44 matches during the three-day competition in an attempt to gain points in the Sevens World Series standings.

 

Played on the same size field as traditional 15-player rugby, sevens rugby is played with just seven players per team.  Matches have seven minute halves with two minute intervals for pool and knock-out matches. The fast pace and short duration of matches makes every moment of the action thrilling for spectators.
