During the video, Davis, who has been honored as Teacher of the Year in Oregon and Nevada more times than you can count, talks about several keys to good putting. Among them, achieving a good set up where you "get comfortable" and be sure to "make a symetrical swing back and forth." The video was shot at Las Vegas' Bali Hai Golf Club, a Las Vegas resort golf course with a tropical theme that is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Davis oversees all Walters Golf instruction at their courses which also include Las Vegas resort courses Desert Pines Golf Club and Royal Links Golf Club. Davis is a very accomplished Master Teaching professional of the PGA of America, and conducted a research project in 2001 along with the Kinesiology Department from UNLV. The study won an award from the World Scientific congress of Golf and was presented at the international meeting at St. Andrews, Scotland in the summer of 2002. The study showed that use of video in a lesson improved a student's performance significantly compared to traditional instruction. He and staff uses the latest in digital video technology and each student will receive a DVD of the lesson to take home.
This putting instruction video also features a "how to" for a practice putting drill. Davis offers up three keys to make the drill a success. First, focus on technique. Next, develop feel. And finally, the aiming at a target with a goal oriented result. Click now for this putting instruction video.
