Las Vegas, Nevada (March 8, 2012)–Bill Engvall is a golf nut. And he plays the game whenever he can, including when he hits the Las Vegas Golf Region for a performance. Engvall has played several Las Vegas golf courses including Spanish Trail and Legacy, among others. Engvall recently answered some questions about golf in Las Vegas prior to his show at the Treasure Island this March 9th. –By Brian Hurlburt
Engvall is good friends with longtime Las Vegas golf writer Bill Bowman, who caught up with Engvall for the popular "Seven Questions" in Seven Weekly. Bowman is the former editor of VegasGolfer Magazine, and often plays golf with Engvall when he comes to town.
"I would also like to be a professional golfer," he told Bowman when asked what he would be doing if he weren't a comedian. "There is nothing more fun than walking in between the ropes at a tournament. There is something very zen about golf. There you are on a beautiful tract of land with mowed fairways and smooth greens. Even when I am having a bad round I try and take a second and just look around. It’s really amazing."
