One of the crowning glories for Las Vegas National Golf Club is the course was one of three Las Vegas golf courses used during the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational. That week, a 20-year old Tiger Woods–playing in just his fifth PGA Tour event as a professional–earned his first professional victory. Woods shot a 70 at Las Vegas National, accompanied by Nevada Governor Bob Miller who was his pro-am partner.
Las Vegas National Golf Club is also the home to the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame exhibit. The exhibit is located in the clubhouse and is free to tour for all golfers. The exhibit features the official trophy hoisted by Woods, a timeline of big moments in Las Vegas golf history, and other memorabilia. Also you can visit the Rat Pack Bar and Grill. Las Vegas National, over the years, was the place where the stars hung out including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr.
