Las Vegas, Nevada (August 16, 2012)–The annual PGA Expo hits Las Vegas again, and along with a major Demo Night. In 2012, the demo event takes place at the popular Callaway Golf Center. The 2012 PGA Expo, Aug. 20-22 in Las Vegas, begins with the all-new Demo Night featuring product testing, instruction workshops, professional networking, and a social golf outing at the Callaway Golf Center, just off the Las Vegas Strip, on Monday.–By Brian Hurlburt, Follow @LVGolfInsider

The PGA Expo Demo Night complements a full schedule of exhibits, main stage presentations, demonstrations, education seminars and professional networking events at the annual industry business gathering being held at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Participating Demo Night companies include Avid Golf, Callaway Golf Company, Cobra Puma Golf, Edel Golf, Ernest Sports, Flightscope, Foresight Sports, H20 Overdrive, Innovations Golf, Mister Cool, PING, Polara, Pro Players Turf, Pukka Headwear, RealXGear, Scan 4 Beer, Tour Edge Golf, True Power, United Rentals, and Yonex.

A who's who of the golf industry is scheduled to attend the private event reserved for attendees of the PGA Expo. The event will take over the 113-stall practice area in addition to the practice greens and other areas of the Callaway Golf Center. The Callaway GC could be called the hub of golf in Las Vegas because of its location, and for it continually being filled with visiting and local Las Vegas golfers honing their golf games. There is also a lighted par 3 course at the Callaway and a retail store.

Additionally, a social golf outing exclusively for PGA Expo attendees will be held during the event at the Center’s Divine Nine, a nine-hole lighted par-3 course. The Divine Nine outing includes the opportunity to test the latest equipment throughout the course, refreshments on the course, complimentary gift bag, contests, club rental (if needed), green fees and cart. Advance registration and a fee of $30 is required for this special, limited-space Demo Night outing. PGA Expo attendees may register at the Demo Night page of www.pgaexpo.com.

Two new instruction workshops have been added to the event this year and will be offered prior to Demo Night, 4:00-6:00 p.m., under cover at the Callaway Golf Center. Eric Alpenfels, PGA director of the Pinehurst Golf Academy and golf instruction at Pinehurst Resort, will offer proven training techniques used to motivate, encourage and develop skills and participation of junior and women golfers in the workshops “The Players of Tomorrow” and “Connecting with Her.” Complimentary transportation will be provided to the workshops from The Venetian and complimentary beverages are included. Registration, limited to first 75 professionals, is $75 for both workshops, or $50.00 for attendees registering for a full PGA Expo Education Conference pass. Two MSR Credits may be earned by PGA Professionals for participating in the instruction workshops. Register at www.pgaexpo.com/instructionworkshop.

United Rentals, the Official Equipment Rental Partner of The PGA of America, is the presenting sponsor of PGA Expo Demo Night. Pukka Headwear is the official hat sponsor of the event and will be providing a custom PGA Expo Demo Night cap to the first 1,000 attendees.
