Las Vegas, Nevada (August 18, 2012)–Rhodes Ranch Golf Club is a Las Vegas golf course designed by the late Ted Robinson, and it has always been known for a terrific grouping of Par 3 holes. Robinson once commented that it might have been the best group of short holes he'd ever designed. Now the third hole at Rhodes Ranch has been listed as one of the top 12 par three holes of all Las Vegas golf courses by a solid source. –By Brian Hurlburt, Follow @LVGolfInsider for more Vegas deals, tee times, and news.
"After two relatively tame par 4 holes, Ted Robinson puts players of all skill levels to the test with this beautiful 3-par. 227-yards from the back tees, 189 from the blues, and 167-yards from the white tees," writes the Epicurean Golfer at EpicureanGolfer.wordpress.com. "Over and around water on a hole that from tee to green is shaped like a banana. A lefty must hit a draw and a right handed player must hit a very difficult cut shot in order to get the ball close to the hole. Be very pleased with a par on this hole."
Robinson has to be smiling from above as his Rhodes Ranch continues to earn praise. He made the comments about the four par 3 holes at Rhodes Ranch being possibly his best during a conversation about a decade ago. Robinson also designed Tuscany Golf Club, a sister course of Rhodes Ranch. Both Las Vegas golf courses are managed by Arnold Palmer Golf Management.
