Las Vegas, Nevada (September 8, 2012)–Current PGA Tour champions Charley Hoffman and Ryan Moore were also both NCAA champions during their time at UNLV. Hoffman won a team title with the Rebels in 1998 while Moore earned the individual crown in 2004 during one of the best amateur golf seasons in history. Now both will go into the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame in the same class. –UNLV Sports Information.

To help commemorate 30 straight years of the PGA Tour playing in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Class of 2012 Induction Ceremony will be held as the first event of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open week in Las Vegas, which runs Sept. 29 – Oct. 7.

“The Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame is thrilled to be included as an official event of PGA Tour week in Las Vegas, and the committee and inductees appreciate the opportunity to bring awareness to the long and glorious history of golf in the Las Vegas area,” said President Brian Hurlburt. “The Class of 2012 is a terrific group to be inducted in such a special way as being a part of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.”

The dinner event is scheduled for The Hill at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, and will feature videos and acceptance speeches by each inductee, and appearances by previous inductees and other notables from the Las Vegas golf community including PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players.
