Also on hand will be Southern Nevada Golf Association representatives to generate interest in a new initiative to entice more golfers of Latin descent to become a part of the United States Golf Association's arm in Southern Nevada. Mexican Indepence Day, official September 16, commemorates the start of the Independence War by Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilal in 1810. And it is scheduled to be a very busy weekend for Las Vegas highlighted by the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez boxing match. But there are many other events happening including the LV Golf and Tennis fun.
