Las Vegas, Nevada (U[pdatad November 13, 2012)–We're not officially certain, but we believe that when Natalie Gulbis and Nick Watney play in the same group of the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge on November 13 at Rio Secco Golf Club, it will be the first time Las Vegas residents have been paired together in the tournament. The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge raises funds and awareness for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, and pits three-player teams from the LPGA Tour, PGA Tour, and Champions Tour against each other. It is the 21st playing of the only professional golf tournament that pits three players from the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour against each other in a head-to-head competition for tour bragging rights and a share of the $1 million purse. This year’s field of competitors is among golf’s elite, representing more than 150 professional victories worldwide, including 14 major championships. They join a long list of golfing royalty that make up the rich history of this unique event, including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Johnny Miller, Hale Irwin, Nick Price, Dottie Pepper, Nancy Lopez, Annika Sorenstam, Patty Sheehan, Julie Inkster, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, Paul Azinger, Payne Stewart, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Bubba Watson to name a few. Watney and Gulbis, two of the biggest stars in the game, live in the Las Vegas Golf Region and also work with Butch Harmon at his school which is located at Rio Secco. The other players in the tournament are Davis Love III and Jason Day on the PGA Tour team, Stacy Lewis and Suzann Petterson on the LPGA Tour team, and Fred Funk, Bernhard Langer, and Tom Lehman on the Champions Tour team. The pairings are: Day, Lehman, Lewis at 9 AM. Watney, Funk, Gulbis at 9:10 AM. Love III, Langer, Petterson at 9:20 AM.
