Las Vegas, Nevada (UPDATED December 10, 2012)–The Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge is one of the most enjoyable made-for-television golf tournaments going. The event is annually played in Las Vegas and features three-player teams from the LPGA Tour, PGA Tour, and Champions Tour going head to head. Las Vegas resort course Rio Secco Golf Club is the host course and is kept in prime condition year round for the tournament by the experts at Key Golf. Now celebrating its 21st anniversary, the Wendy's 3Tour Challenge, benefiting The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, is the only professional golf tournament that pits three players from the PGA TOUR, LPGA and Champions Tour against each other in a head-to-head competition for tour bragging rights and a share of the $1 million purse. Over $4 million was raised in 2011 for the charity, and another large amount was raised in 2012.

“Key Golf did a tremendous job of putting our course in professional tournament condition,” said Eric Dutt, Vice President of Caesars Golf, the owners and operators of Las Vegas golf courses Rio Secco and Cascata. “We weren’t surprised. They have done a tremendous job since we contracted with them to handle our entire course maintenance program, not only at Rio Secco, but also at Cascata. We are very pleased with the partnership. On behalf of the Wendy’s 3Tour Challenge, Caesars Entertainment, the Players, Butch Harmon, (who worked so tirelessly in bringing this elite field of PGA stars together), Key Golf, the staff, and myself, a very special thanks to all. It was a fun week, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that the 'kids' who find homes through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption are the big winners, and that’s what this event is all about.”
The official event will be broadcast at 8 PM EST on The Golf Channel, but a week long of televised events is already under way including features of the LPGA Tour, PGA Tour, and Champions Tour teams, instructional clinics, and more. Click now for the complete television schedule.
Key Golf took over the maintenance at Rio Secco nearly three years ago, and put it in pristine condition in time for this annual gathering of some of the world’s top tour professionals: from the PGA Tour, Davis Love III, Nick Watney and Jason Day: from the Champions Tour: Bernhard Langer, Charles Schwab Champion Tom Lehman and Fred Funk: from the LPGA Tour, Natalie Gulbis, Stacey Lewis and Cristie Kerr.
“We are very happy with our relationship with Rio Secco and Cascata.” said Kip Wolfe, a Key Golf executive. “Not only are they great golf courses, but the management of the courses is eagerly involved in charitable events like the Wendy’s 3Tour Challenge. We are pleased to play a role.”
