Las Vegas, Nevada (June 24, 2013)–The wins keep adding up for current and former Las Vegas Golf Region residents. And Inbee Park, a two-time Nevada state high school champion, is at it again. Park won her fifth LPGA Tour event of 2013 over the weekend when she fired rounds of 69-65-67 to win the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G. Park has also won the first two majors of 2013 and is the hottest golfer on the planet at the moment.–By Brian Hurlburt, Follow @LVGolfInsider
The win was the second-straight for Park, who now looks to this week's U.S. Women's Open and potentially her third-straight major victory. Throughout the Walmart event, Park was thinking about the Open. "I really actually took this week as kind of a preparation before I go into the Women's Open," Park told the media following her win. "But I think the main key for me in Women's Open is to get over with this overwhelming feeling, because I mean I won last two weeks and that's just a lot of emotions, and I'm just going to try to calm down myself a lot and try to play the course. I mean, I'm sure the course is going to make me concentrate. So I'm really looking forward to playing there and not to think about so much of the history or to break somebody's record. I don't think about too many things like that. I'm just playing golf because I like to play golf and every week is just really fun for me."
