Las Vegas, Nevada (July 11, 2013)–As of July 1, the popular Callaway Golf Center located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip is no longer affiliated with Callaway Golf. Stepping in will be TaylorMade Golf, and major renovations are underway for the retail and golf equipment area, and, in time, the overall facility. The Las Vegas Golf Center is a very popular golf facility in Las Vegas with night-lighted play, a large practice area, restaurant, and retail areas. According to TaylorMade sources, the new additions will be impressive. Work has already begun on the TaylorMade Golf Experience. –By Brian Hurlburt, Follow @LVGolfInsider
According to officials, the TaylorMade Golf Company is transforming the retail area into a premier golf destination called the TaylorMade Golf Experience. Effective in early July, TaylorMade began construction, and the TaylorMade Golf Experience will be open for business this fall, making it the first dedicated TaylorMade retail store in Las Vegas. The TaylorMade Golf Experience will be more than 10,000 square feet, and with updates to flow and structure TaylorMade will nearly double the retail space on property to more than 4,500 square feet. The indoor hitting bays will be doubled from 1 to 2, and additionally on property, there is an on-site driving range that is more than 6,000 square feet, a nine-hole golf course, and a restaurant that is approximately 1,700 square feet. The store will be stocked with all of TaylorMade, adidas Golf and Ashworth's golf equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories, and will offer golfers a high-end and high-tech retail experience unlike any other in the city. The store is slated to open in early October.
Many more details are emerging, but business is as usual at the Golf Center as far as the range and the golf course are concerned during the retail renovation. The Center is open for night play and professionals are available for instruction including 1988 U.S. Amateur Champion Eric Meeks. The facility is located just minutes from the heart of the Las Vegas action on the Las Vegas Strip and is popular with locals and visiting Las Vegas golfers.
