Among the champions of events played at TPC Las Vegas are Hale Irwin, Stuart Appleby, and Jim Furyk, but also on a daily basis pros who live in the Las Vegas Golf Region can be spotted playing and practicing at the course. Charley Hoffman, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, lives on the course and spends a lot of time on the fairways and believes the course is kept near PGA Tour standards on a consistent basis.

"It's invaluable to be able to play and practice at TPC Las Vegas," says Hoffman. "The staff is very welcoming and they also make sure the greens are Tour speed and the fairways are Tour cuts and conditions. It's a huge advantage for those of us who have that access on an everyday basis over those that don't." TPC Las Vegas, best described as "desert elegance", is a par-71, 7,081 yard championship layout designed by acclaimed architect Bobby Weed and World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd. A true test of shot-making skill, the TPC Las Vegas golf course can challenge even the most seasoned of golfers. The lush greens weave through a scenic desert landscape of arroyos and barrancas over several hundred acres. The golf course plays at an elevation of between 2,000 and 2,500 feet, allowing you to get about 7-10 yards extra distance in the high desert. Your putts will pick up some speed breaking away from the mountains and mostly everything breaks toward the Stratosphere casino and hotel, which you can see in the distance from certain points on the golf course.

And the popular "Two Guys Who Golf" blog confirmed the daily quality conditions that exist when teeing it up at TPC Las Vegas: "There is always something special about playing a course that has been a regular stop on the PGA Tour. One would expect top conditions, great practice facilities, and an atmosphere of respect for the traditions and culture of this humbling game. All this and more are present at the TPC Las Vegas."
