Las Vegas, Nevada (February 13, 2014)–Las Vegas Golf Region resident Butch Harmon is the king of golf instructors, literally and figuratively. He once was the official resident teaching pro for King Hassan II of Morocco, and he also has worked with the world's greatest players including Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. Harmon still works with Mickelson but also recently added Jimmy Walker to the list of players that he has helped take to the top of their games. Walker currently stands atop the FedEx Cup points leaderboard and has won three of his last starts. The cool thing is, like Walker, you, too, can learn from Harmon when you attend a school at the Butch Harmon School of Golf in Las Vegas at Rio Secco Golf Club. –By Brian Hurlburt.

Harmon has lived in Las Vegas for more than a decade and operates his school at Rio Secco which is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The School offers two and three day seesions with Butch and his staff in addition to sessions solely with his top-level staff that also works with Tour pros. Walker gushes when speaking about the impact that Harmon has had on his game. Walker won the AT&T National Pro-Am last week and is set to tee it up in the Northern Trust Open this week. "When I went and saw him, he said, 'I believe in you and I believe you've got a lot of talent, and I think you're underutilizing what you've got,'" Walker told reporters recently. "He said, 'I want to work and make things better,' and I think it's been great. I really enjoy hanging out with him. He's a very confident person. When he tells you something, you believe it. And it's been great. I've really enjoyed my time with him, and I'm going to keep enjoying my time with him."

Harmon has said that Walker is an extremely hard worker and has spent a lof of time in Las Vegas over the last several months. “He just needed belief. When he won in Hawaii, the way he played on the last nine holes gave him a feeling he belonged.," Harmon told PGATOUR.com. "This is a stepping stone to even greater things. He can get so much better.”

The Harmon School is a popular spot for Tour pros, top amateurs and everyday players. The state-of-the-art school rests at the end of the Rio Secco range and features a stand along building with hitting bays featuring video, large short game practice area, outdoor range area, and a putting green. The walls of the building feature dozens and dozens of flags signed by tournament champions as a thank you to their coach.

"I think the older you get, the harder it is to take advice from people, I think it's just the nature of people anyway," Walker told reporters this week at Riviera Country Club. "So I really committed myself when I went to go see him, to come in with a blank slate, that I want help and listen. I think that's hard to give in and listen to somebody, especially when you go to make a swing change or work with anybody about anything, you've got to get in and believe and buy what they are telling you. I have and I think it's been good."
