Las Vegas, Nev. (Nov. 25, 2014)–TPC Las Vegas, owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, is helping spread the holiday spirit to Las Vegas children and is giving back to Nevada golfers at the same time. Through Dec. 14, if players bring a toy valued at $20 or more for Toys for Tots, they can play 18 holes at the world-class golf course for just $40. “Giving back is the Heart of the PGA TOUR,” says Joe Massanova, Director of Business Development for TPC Las Vegas. “Throughout the holiday season, the TPC Las Vegas brings to life that very message by helping children in our local community enjoy the beauty of the holidays.”
TPC Las Vegas is a par-71 layout designed by Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd and is located in the golf-rich Summerlin area and in close proximity to JW Marriott and other resorts. The course played host to the Las Vegas PGA Tour stop for many years and is still the spot where many former and current PGA Tour pros–including recent winners Ryan Moore and Charley Hoffman–along with Bill Lunde, Alex Cejka, Alex Prugh and more practice and play.
The course is a true desert experience with two par 3s (the second and 12th holes) offering beauty and challenge with stunning island greens perched, not above water, but above the desert floor. TPC also offers players (and non-players) a great dining experience at the TPC Grille. It’s also an ideal spot for that special occasion … whether it’s a wedding, retirement gathering or just a special meal with that someone special.
But in the end, it’s all about lending a helping hand. "The TPC Las Vegas is proud to be part of the fabric of the Las Vegas community and help those less fortunate enjoy a brighter holiday,’ Massanova says.
