Las Vegas, Nev (Dec. 18, 2014)–Everything’s bigger, better and brighter in Las Vegas. Well, maybe we are just a bit biased, but we especially believe that is true for Las Vegas golf experiences as well. But for a golf outing that you’ll never forget in Las Vegas, tee it up at Cascata and you and your clients will walk away satisfied. During the fair winter months, you can play Cascata for rates well below the prime time rates so act now to reserve your Cascata experience. –By Bill Bowman
From the moment players drive through the wrought-iron gate at this Rees Jones layout, they will see there’s something very special about Cascata. And it’s not just the golf. Players are escorted through the huge solid-wood clubhouse doors and through a lobby where a river is running through it—we’re serious–and then into the locker room where they will find their own private locker, complete with names etched on a name plate that can be taken as a memento. Then, make sure to grab a meal in the elegant restaurant, with gourmet cuisine that will appeal to everyone in the group. Down a few steps is the staging area where players and their caddie will drive out from the underground cart barn. As the doors magically swing open like a Disneyland ride, players’ senses will be bombarded by the beauty of the course and the tranquility of the atmosphere.
Cascata is Italian for waterfall. And one of the first sights players will see is the 416-foot waterfall that flows down the mountainside and through the clubhouse as we previously mentioned. Once on the course, the Rees Jones layout features 18 individual snapshots with severe elevation changes, dramatic views and a challenge.
One of the best holes on the course is the par-4, 14th. At 434 yards from the tips, players will hit from an elevated tee to a fairway far below. A stream runs down the right side and finishes up in a pond that guards the front and right of a large green. It’s a gorgeous, yet testing, golf hole.
The clubhouse also offers a relaxing atmosphere for players to enjoy before or after the round. Overall, golf experiences can fail to live up to the hype. That’s simply not the case at Cascata. It’s just your group and the golf course. There’s no housing, no traffic, no cars. Just tranquility and golf. Vegas style.
