Las Vegas, Nevada (February 15, 2015)–The only three Pete Dye signature golf courses located in Las Vegas are found at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. One of the three, the Wolf course, recently earned 16th place on the recently released GolfAdvisor.com Top 50 course rankings in the United States from more than 125,000 reviews from everyday golfers. It is just another accolade for a resort that continually is highy-rated for playing conditions, customer service and overall beauty. "The ratings are in — more than 125,000 in total — and we can now announce the Top 50 U.S. Golf Courses on GolfAdvisor in 2014," wrote Managing Editor Brandon Tucker. "Because these reviews come from a wide range of daily-fee golfers and not industry types and design aficionados, the courses that made the Top 25 seem to be less 'bucket list' plays (though there are a few) and more facilities that most exceeded the paying golfer's expectations."
The Wolf was the third course built at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort and is known as the featured layout there. Snow Mountain is the original course at the resort while Sun Mountain was built second. All three courses at the resort are well worth the play, and have been consistent favorites of Las Vegas golfers over the years. The 15 hole on the Wolf, an island green, is one of the most talked about holes in Las Vegas golf.
"Beauty is in fact in the eye of the golfer," continued Tucker. "It goes to show that a course's design or history is just a fraction of the total picture. A truly great golf course is a mix of design, conditions, service — all at a price point that makes golfers want to keep coming back, not just play it once.
