Since beginning its rating system in 1997, Golfweek has developed the most respected ranking structure in the industry. Golfweek’s nationwide team of course raters, which currently boasts 825 evaluators, has surveyed more than 3,000 courses – rating each nominated course on the basis of Golfweek’s 10 strict standards of evaluation. Collectively, Golfweek raters have turned in more than 55,000 votes. Golfweek’s Best Courses lists include: Modern, Classic, Casino, Municipal, Campus, Residential, Resort, Canadian, Caribbean & Mexico, Great Britain & Ireland and Courses You Can Play.
Shadow Creek was designed by Tom Fazio and is owned and operated by MGM Mirage. The course also played host to the annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational and is a top spot for high-rolling golfers and celebrity.
Cascata was designed by Rees Jones and is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. The sister course to Cascata is Rio Secco, another Rees Jones course. Events surrounding Tiger Jam, Tiger Woods’ charity event, have been at the course in addition to other major celebrity events.
Wolf Creek is located in Mesquite, Nevada, 77 miles north of Las Vegas and is a fantasy course come to life. The course was chosen as a course in the Tiger Woods EA Sports video game because of its amazing topography that includes canyon holes and other stunning landscapes.
Wynn Las Vegas is another Tom Fazio design that is located on the Las Vegas Strip. The Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is one of three Pete Dye signature golf courses at the resort and is generally known as the top course at the resort but each are worth the play. The Wolf Course features the island green 15th hole a la TPC Sawgrass.
