Las Vegas, Nevada (Sept. 27, 2015)–Anthem Country Club is one of the top private clubs in Las Vegas, and is the home of the powerhouse Coronado High School boys and girls golf teams. Once a year, the membership allows the program to hold a fundraiser. The 12th benefit tournament is to be held Monday, Nov. 9, with all proceeds benefiting both of the teams. The event is $700 per team of four players and includes golf, lunch, prizes and more. You can call head coach Joe Sawaia at (702) 799-6800 ext. 4075 to register or email him at

Playing in this tournament allows golfers to experience the private Anthem, an opportunity not always available to the general public.

Last season, the girls won the Nevada state title while the boys finished as the runner-ups. Both are expected to challenge for the championships again this season. Overall the boys have won the championship three times plus turned out a high-level of player including current UNLV Men’s golf senior captain AJ McInerney who finished second for the Rebels just this week in an event in New Mexico.

Located 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, Anthem Country Club’s spectacular Hale Irwin – Keith Foster designed par-72, 7267-yard championship golf course features dramatic elevation changes as it traverses breathtaking natural desert terrain, sparkling waterfalls, six lakes and picturesque canyons.
