Las Vegas, Nev. (May 13, 2016)—When you talk about a Hall of Fame, you’re talking about the very best a sport has to offer. It’s no different with the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame and the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame Classic Pro-Am. The 2016 event will again be held at the Rees Jones-designed Cascata, one of Las Vegas’ top golf courses that has been rated as Top 100 in America. Now the public is invited to play with some of Vegas’ golf greats. –By Bill Bowman

Whether it’s an individual, a group or an organization, these honorees (40 and counting) have made a lasting impact on the game of golf in Las Vegas and around the world. Some of those honored include: PGA Tour players (and UNLV alums) Charley Hoffman, Ryan Moore and Chris Riley along with Tommy Armour III, Robert Gamez, world No. 1 instructor Butch Harmon and many more.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 on The Hill at TPC Summerlin. The dinner and induction ceremony are the kickoff events for the PGA Tour’s stop in Las Vegas, the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open. Smylie Kaufman is the defending champion.
Cascata is located 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and features 18 holes that wind through the hills that separate Las Vegas and Boulder City. The course, as scenic as it is challenging, offers players an ultimate golf experience in a scenic and secluded environment. Cascata is consistently ranked among the best places to play in many golf publications. It is the sister course to Rio Secco Golf Club, home to the Butch Harmon School of Golf.
