Las Vegas, Nev. (Dec. 4, 2016)—Admit it. There’s nothing like playing golf in Las Vegas. It’s the ultimate golf getaway and challenge. But, there are also times where you should take a minute and enjoy some of the more breathtaking views available on some of these great golf courses. Whether it’s just the golf hole itself or the Las Vegas Strip, here are a few holes that will certainly take your breath away. So while you’re heading to the tee box on these spectacular golf holes, don’t forget your camera as well.–By Bill Bowman.
We’ll start with an obvious one–the 14th hole at Highland Falls Golf Club. This stunning par-3, reaching 206 yards from the tips, features a 40-foot drop from tee to green. It also will give players an awe-inspiring view of the Strip from north to south. This one’s impressive.
As always, tee times are available online at all of these courses.
The par-4 11th hole at Rio Secco Golf Club, a par-4 that reaches a PGA-challenging 489 yards from the tips, has plenty in common with the previous hole. It features an elevated tee box. It has a drop of about 40 feet to the fairway below. There is also a jaw-dropping view of the Strip in the background.
A dazzling par 3 at Bali Hai Golf Club brings beauty and terror into view from up close and personal. The hole plays just 141 yards from the tips, but offers a backdrop that is second to none. The island green is nestled right next to the Cili Restaurant, giving players the chance to show off their golf game to dining patrons.
This one’s dazzling—as well as dastardly. The par-3 15th on the Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is one of those holes that will take your breath away…and leave you sweating bullets as well. The 182-yard hole is home to an island green. Sure, the view is great…once you get past looking at all that water.
There you have it, four Las Vegas golf holes that are picture-perfect…both in their layout as well as their views.
