Justin Chong, who is in his second year with the UNLV golf team, shot two rounds of 70 to finish at 4-under par and won the championship division of the Southern Nevada Golf Association Henderson Amateur played at Revere Golf Club. Former UNLV All-American and PGA Tour player Edward Fryatt finished two shots behind Chong at 2-under par.

Keegan Brasch, Derek Castillo and Yash Majmudar tied for third at 4-over par. Castillo and Majmudar are also both members of the Rebels men’s golf team.

Former player of the year Gary Carpendale won the senior division with a two-day total of 14-over par following rounds of 84 and 74.

Three-time player of the year Frank Abbott won the silver division with rounds of 71 and 76 to finish at 3-over par.
