LAS VEGAS, Nev. (June 28, 2017)–We know what you’re thinking: It’s too hot to play golf. Well, the folks at the TaylorMade Golf Experience beg to differ. Sure, it’s warm, but how about the chance to tee it up in a golf league and play under the lights. That’s right, night-time golf right on the famed Las Vegas Strip and/or experience Golf Happy Hour under the lights as well. –By Bill Bowman
The TaylorMade Golf Experience’s Night League begins July 11. Here’s the chance for you and your buddies to test your game, have a couple of cold drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) and take aim at a grand prize of three months of unlimited golf and range balls. And it’s all for the low price of under $20 per round. Plus, players receive a free round just for signing up.
“If you’ve never played golf under the lights on the Las Vegas Strip you’re definitely missing out,” said Kyle Kunkel, operations manager.
The league, which usually features around 16 teams, has tee times from 4:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Kunkel said the later tee times are definitely preferred. “It’s the only relief from the sun, that’s for sure,” he said.
It’s an 8-week league each Tuesday beginning July 11. The cost is $600 per team but individuals are also welcome at $150 per player and will be paired up with other singles or twosomes.
There will be weekly prize giveaways as well as exclusive dining and drink menus. There will also be an optional closest to the pin contest ($5) and a league-wide dinner and raffle the final week.
“If you’re looking for a weekly golf fix, there’s nowhere better to go than here,” Kunkel said.
The TaylorMade Golf Experience is a 9-hole course that has nine par 3s ranging from 110 yards to 185 yards. The course and the range are both lit for night play.
