Golf Summerlin Offers Quality That Doesn’t Empty Wallet

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (July 31, 2017)–Whether you’re a scratch golfer or just picking up the game, Golf Summerlin wants you to check out their trifecta of courses. From two 18-hole championship courses to an executive 18-hole layout, no matter your game, there’s a course (or two…or three) that will fit your game. –By Bill Bowman.

The three courses, all designed by the legendary duo of Billy Casper and Greg Nash, run the spectrum when it comes to impressive golf layouts and are pretty easy on the pocket book, especially when you take into account the deals and memberships that are always available.

From elevated tees and greens to rolling fairways to perfectly placed water features and menacing bunkers, these three courses provide challenges from start to finish.

And once you’ve checked them out, chances are you’ll be back. And to that end, Golf Summerlin offers a variety of membership options. Click here to check out the Loyalty Program or click here for the membership information for Las Vegas residents.

“It doesn’t matter what kind of golfer you are or whether you want to play a lot or just casually, there’s a program for you,” said Cody Law, Marketing Consultant for Golf Summerlin.

Eagle Crest is a growing feature for the Golf Summerlin family, especially for the local crowd. Eagle Crest is an executive course that combines a quick round of golf with variety. The layout has 12 par 3s that range from 115 yards to 224 yards that will test players’ accuracy with their iron play. The course is 4,067 yards in length and the par 4s also give players the chance to still grab that driver a few times.

“One thing we have concentrated on in the last 12 months is Eagle Crest,” Law said. “We know you have busy lives but still want to play golf and not spend five hours on a course. Well, come out and play an executive course that will let you hit every club in your bag.”

Then there’s Highland Falls. This one’s a tough call: Is this layout a gorgeous course with plenty of challenge or a challenging course with gorgeous vistas? It’s your choice, but one thing is certain: It does have one of the best views in Vegas. So grab your camera, as well as your 4-iron (or hybrid), when you head to the tee on the par-3 14th. The 206-yard hole drops some 30 feet from tee to green but it’s the view directly in front of players that is eye-catching. It’s a stunning view of the famed Vegas Strip.

Palm Valley is the longest of the three courses at almost 6,900 yards from the tips. Par-5 holes open and close the round and are great examples of risk/reward holes. Players have the chance to get home in two (the first hole is 537 yards while the 18th plays 534 yards) and set up a possible eagle, but water features and bunkers will definitely add to the test.
