Categories: Las Vegas Hot Pick of the Day.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Jan. 8, 2017)—There is plenty to like when it comes to playing golf at the three Golf Summerlin courses located in northwest Las Vegas. Golf there is just three pure golf experiences. From Eagle Crest (a par-60 executive course) to Highland Falls and Palm Valley (both par-72 layouts) players will find tree-lined designed fun and enjoyable courses by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. And best of all–the three courses are located within minutes of each other. — By Bill Bowman.

Whether you’re a visitor to Las Vegas or a resident, these three courses should be on your play list, especially with great rates, dynamic layouts, impressive course conditioning and a player-friendly rewards program.

So grab your clubs and check them out.

Highland Falls plays just 6,512 yards from the tips, but it’s all the golf challenge a player can want. With elevation changes, bunkering and water hazards, it’s a course that appeals to the serious golfer as well as the beginner. And the view on the 206-yard, par-3 14th is jaw-dropping. From an elevated tee, players will look down on a stunning golf hole. But it’s the background view that’s even more impressive: the entire Las Vegas Strip sits right before your eyes.

Palm Valley is the longest of the three courses at almost 6,900 yards from the tips. But, while it is longer, it also has plenty of scoring chances, especially on the first and 18th holes. Both are par 5s (537 yards and 534 yards) so they are green-light holes as players should definitely be flag-hunting. And if you’re a big hitter, getting home in two is a possibility on both of these holes letting players start and finish the round with the chance at an eagle (or two).

Eagle Crest’s par 3s (all 12 of them), give players a great layout for that quick round of golf as well as a course to work on their short game. The course plays 4,067 yards from the tips but length isn’t the name of the game here. It’s accuracy. With the par 3s ranging from 115 yards to a PGA-Tour length 224 yards, players will have plenty of chances to work on their iron play.
