You have choices in this world. Every day you make choices in business and life. Rio Secco Golf Club now offers you another choice: do you want to play with a caddie named Sully, who is 50 with a beard, but tremendous golf knowledge, or do you want to play with a T-Mate named April who is twenty-something, beautiful, and comes with quite a bit of golf knowledge? Recently, Rio Secco Golf Club introduced the T-Mate program that pairs lovely young ladies—or good looking guys for the ladies out there—with foursomes. The T-mates are part host, part caddie, and full-time pleasure to watch and be around.

But the T-mate only adds to an already delicious Vegas golf experience. Rio Secco is a Rees Jones design that is at the top of the Vegas golf list. The holes meander through the exclusive Seven Hills community, and appear to magically transform players to golf heaven. Nearly every hole boasts either dramatic mountain or Strip views.

GreensKeeper.org reader comment

“Rio Secco is a beautiful course shaped through the natural arroyos and canyons on the south end of the valley. The front 9 is a little more “open” then the back, and there is a great mix of elevated tees. You definitely need to know your club distances and trust the yardage book, as many holes look longer than they actually are. Great mix of Par 3s, short/long Par 4s, and 3 long Par 5s, with a short one thrown in. The 18th is the best finishing hole I have seen in the valley, especially at twilight with the Strip lights in the distance. Definitely worth a visit while in Vegas, and worth a round or 2 a year if you live here.”

Rio Secco is also home to the Butch Harmon School of Golf. Harmon is the former swing coach of Tiger Woods (Tiger has the course record of 64 at Rio Secco), and currently teaches Adam Scott, Natalie Gulbis (a resident at Lake Las Vegas Resort) and many other world-renowned players. Rio Secco also hosts big-time events including Tiger Jam and others.

The sister course to Rio Secco is Cascata, another Rees Jones design. Special golf values can be received if booking through Caesars Entertainment hotels or booking both Rio Secco and Cascata together.
